Today in our face to face session for our SUNY course on Educational Technology and Information Literacy we were looking specifically at the 2009 Horizon Report which is a non-profit organization based out of States which gathers research information and then it analyzes it to discover and report on global trends in technology. Our cohort broke into groups of 6 and then had 30 minutes to create a 2 minute presentation on the trend we were assigned. Our group read the article from the Horizon Report on Mobile Phones. We had to deliver a pitch to inform the rest of the group what our trend was and also how is this trend is changing the learning landscape. It was quite fun and very interesting (and somewhat overwhelming) to hear of how technology will be changing in the next year to five years and beyond.
